Does anyone on here go up to Manitoba Canada bear hunting? If so do you know any good outfitters up that way? Me and another guy are trying to put something together for a spring hunt. Any info would be appreciated!!!

Bear hunt;

Steve give me a call & I will give you a name & # in Winnepeg. In my oppinion he is the best in the business. Also plan on gaining about 10-15lbs. They feed you till you can't stand anymore. The last year I went up, I think in 06 or 07. I took Harry Oumedian, & Scott Haines with me, & 4 out of 5 bear were color phase bear. I think John has 3 of the top 10 pope & young black bear on the current books. One they took up at his camp was 8'-4" with a skull measurement of 23-3/16 & weighed 675lbs. The dnr said had it been a fall bear it would have weighed between 975-1000lbs. We have one on video that it's back stands about 8-1/2" above the 55 gallon drum flat footed. He was huge. They usually don't shoot anything under 7' the 1st few days because of the number of big bear that he will put you on. Here is his web

jrivet@mts.net <jrivet@mts.net> His name is John Rivet. I will try to locate his #, but if you E-mail him he will get in touch fairly quick. Tell him, & his wife Jenn that John Delcamp said hi, & if things turn around for me I will definately be schedualing another hunt! Hope this helps & give me a call & I'll answer any questions that you might have. GOOD LUCK! You'll have a blast & won't ever go to another outfitter. He will spoil you! I went to others & never knew how big of a difference there was till I got him.
John W. Delcamp

go to B.C and hunt with pink mountian outfitters if you want a big ol bear...

if you want to run dogs on em, look up brian chorney on the big game section. he runs lightfoot english dogs and they kill some real nice animals..

Steve look up TNT outfitters in Manitoba. Terry and Travis Ledoux. You cant go wrong with them. The hunting is great and so is the food. They take care of everything. They are also a liscensed taxidermist so you dont have to worry about taking anything home if you want it mounted. My dad and I went up there last year and we both got bears. Dad killed a big black, I got a big chocolate, they other guys in camp got another big chocolate, and a big cinnamon. Its also the place where Team Realtree killed that blonde phase bear that was solid white.

I saw 2-5 bears everytime I was on the stand except the first day a front was moving through and nobody saw anything. But after that everyone saw numerous bears. The best thing about hunting with them wasnt worrying whether I was going to get a bear, it was which one do I want. LOL. The accomodations where fantastic and they took care of everything you needed. I was gonna bow hunt but and an accident the weekend before we went so I ended up taking my muzzleloader. But every bear I saw I could of shot with my bow. The other two guys that were in camp with us both killed a bear with there bows. Give me a call anytime if you have anymore questions. Hope you have fun and happy hunting.
