Female and pups ?

Our female had 6 pups On the 11th, One passed away, And now when she goes out for her potty break shes digging holes in our yard, I let her out this morning, She came back in and ate, So i left the kennel door open for her for a little bit And all of a sudden she came up the stairs with a puppy in her mouth heading towards the back door, Any one ever experience this or know why she is starting to do this, She has had two litters with us And this has never happened before, Now she wont let me go near the puppy..

Try moving her to another spot. Maybe somewhere quieter or with less going on... may help, may not.

And up her calcium intake. Strange emtions/actions in b*tches who aren't getting enough calcium after whelping. Cottage cheese, plain yogurt, vanilla ice cream . . .even Tums.
