One thing that I learned a long time ago is that deer start out 125 pounds in the woods when they hit the ground, grow to 150 or 175 by the time they are dragged to the truck, then after 3 people try to hang it everybody swears it's 200-225 pounds.
Then when put on the scale it will be 112, LOL.
It takes a big deer to be 200 pounds field dressed.
Of course up north there are plenty of them.
Not too many down in Tennessee though.
Lot of truth to that...LOL
We weigh every "big one" we get and sometimes I swear that scale is broke...some of those deer got to weigh more than it says they do!!
By the way I wasn't dissing anyone's deer. I primarily hunt for meat too. Been hunting for about 25 years now and only got one on the wall out of countless numbers killed. The doe in the pic is definitely a taker in my book!
