I t came down in the last ten minutes, the kid was not in it. No other word on it yet as to if he is home hiding somewhere or if there is a real tragedy to be found. A parent's nightmare that for sure.

There doing a ground search right now. They said that somebody saw something fall out of it. But all the could tell it was a on object.

The father of this boy is a storm chaser and was also featured on "Wife Swap". I just logged on the the chaser website I get on and everyone is saying what a complete loon he is, thinking that tornados are caused by magnetic fields. My money would be on a hoax, b/c from the looks of it that balloon couldn't have held enough helium to carry a 60+ pound boy as high as that balloon went.

edited to add- I do hope the boy is ok regardless of the outcome of this.

What kind of person leaves a balloon tied out without it being watched over or chained down? I hope his boy is OK but man, that's like leaving your car running with the kids in it. I hate when kids get left to play around dangerous stuff. They get into enough things as it is.
