Change We Can Believe In????

The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775 - you have had 234 years to get it right ; it is broke.

Social Security was established in 1935 - you have had 74 years to get it right ; it is broke.

Fannie Mae was established in 1938 - you have had 71 years to get it right ; it is broke.

The "War on Poverty" started in 1964 - you have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor"; it hasn't worked and our entire country is broke.

Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965 - you've had 44 years to get it right ; they are broke.

Freddie Mac was established in 1970 - you have had 39 years to get it right ; it is broke.

Trillions of dollars were spent in the massive political payoffs called TARP, the "Stimulus", the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009... none show any signs of working, although ACORN appears to have found a new b***h: the American taxpayer.

And finally, to set a new record:

"Cash for Clunkers" was established in 2009 and went broke in 2009! It took cars (that were the best some people could afford) and replaced them with high-priced and less-affordable cars, mostly Japanese. A good percentage of the profits went out of the country. And the American taxpayers take the hit for Congress' generosity in burning three billion more of our dollars on failed experiments.

So with a perfect 100% failure rate and a record that proves that "services" you shove down our throats are failing faster and faster, you want Americans to believe you can be trusted with a government-run health care system?

20% of our entire economy?

With all due respect,

Are you crazy?

what do you mean "it's broke". all of those things you posted except the post office are working exactly as those that advocated and continued to support them wanted- that is, subverting the intention of the constitution. that is exactly what "they" want those things to do. BREAK THE CONSTITUTION!

Michelle "THE BELLE" Obama,

has well over 20 people on her PERSONNAL STAFF, at a cost pushing TWO MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The most any other first lady has ever had, is FOUR & that was Hillary.

It looks as if between the two of them ( B.O. "BAD ODOR" & THE BELLE) that they are trying to visit every country on the planet within the 1st year?

I wonder, between the 2 of them, how much in travel expenses they have gone through already?

First Mr.Obama must be very old. I wonder is this same staff that Laura Bush had? The cost 1.6 mil. vs 1.4 mil. I wonder? The first postmaster Benjamin Franklin so the founding father were wrong? Is social security really broke? Freddie and fannie can anyone say deregulate. Yes i now think the man deserved the nobel prize for being blame for stuff from 1775.

This cash for clunkers scrapped alot of good vehicles the millions of layed off could've used. All in saving the planet. Well for BO's information we Northerners would like to see some Global Warming. Record low temps all summer and I changed my 2 weeks fall vacation from Nov. 1 to October 15th. Usually saw the 20's in mid Nov. But by Oct. 10th it's already freezing. BO, save us.LOL.

post office mandated in constitution likely so as the public would not have private people "going through" their mail, was never intended to "make money". social security IS broke and getting broker as EVERY ponzi scheme will eventually. should never have been enacted to begin with, the individual savings rate dropped steadily since its enactment and gave folks a "live for today" attitude and unconstitutional to boot. fannie and freddie should never have been sued by clinton administration to open up wider credit standards irregardless of race. should have continued on pure credit risk irregardless of race. the clinton administration SAID they knew a percentage would NEVER pay but that would just be "tough crap", we would have to eat it, but they guessed wrong at the percentage and what "ideas" capital would try to come up with to spread the bad credit risk they(the banks) were FORCED to assume.

all "entitlements" currently "obligated" for such as ss, medicare, medicaid, snap, ect, ect, represent about 100 TRILLION dollars of "obligations" to the us taxpayers over the retirement of the boomers. the us TOTAL gnp is about 14 trillion a year. were in the helk are "we" going to get this "money"? as the laws are currently written, this 100 TRILLION is the REAL national debt. IT IS NOT SUSTAINABLE.

track, google "thomas sowell" "housing crisis" for the BEST, most down to earth explaination of the gse and regulation government complicity on this. if they hadn't been compliant, they wouldn't have been "bailing" on the backs of the taxpayers.

i for the life of me cannot figure how any of this would have been long term positive for the banking sector. if they had a plan, it was a bad one.

Read it John and he did spread the wealth so to speak. I still think there was a bigger plan at work intentional steering, lacks fair lending laws and unintentional consequences. The simple thing to do is blame poor people and let the rich get away. There was no one party to blame in this.

the whole thing is we're (the taxpayers) are financing the greatest one time wealth transfer in history. bailing out homedwellers with mortgage write downs into the tens of thousands each AND bailing out the rich bondholders who bought the poor credit risk based "assets" because of the promises of the government via the gse's. if you payed your bills and taxes and acted responsibly as i and many others did you and your posterity are getting the big shaft, AGAIN. greed on EVERY level.

it is literally like people think they should get a "chalk" or "scotch" financially at whatever their high point is. personally, i been up, down, and all around for most of my life but i have never expected to be bailed out by my fellow citizens.

the FACT is track, my problem with b.o. is the fact that i know that he and his ilk are all about perpetuating or expanding many things that i KNOW are unsustainable. he didn't make them unsustainable, they are because they go against "economic natural law". he didn't invent them all, but they are none the less unsustainable. when i say this, i mean by their own "weight" they will eventually fail or are currently failing and they are not even payable if they expropriated the ENTIRE GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT. if you at your house try to live that much beyond your means they would not only come take all your stuff but likely put you in jail for fraud. look what they did to madoff. he was running the same scheme privately. "our" creditors ARE COMING to get our "stuff", that is they only way they can repatriate the funny money.
