Go to best buy or a cell phone store and get screen protectors. you cut them to fit and once there on you cant tell.

i guess scratches I havent really worried about mine doesnt seem to scratch as easly as my lowrance gps did when I quit using it you could hardly see it without the backlight on but I have been using my garmin for six months now and it only has one visible scratch on it, I do keep it in a carring case fitted for it

SCRATCHES

Mine isn't scratched yet either but a guy had one the other day that was so scratched you couldn't hardly read it and his was only about a year old. I got a regular garmin gps and it is about 8 years old and it isn't hardly scratched at all but I didn't use it as much as I do the 220
