Bought some at Plott Days and love it. The lady that was selling it gave me her number 520-234-3559. Hope that helps.

research it online.I found a place. It is called wolf creek ranch. They sell the food grade stuff. Are you going to use it on your hounds? You can feed it to them.It helps get rid of all worms(except heart worm). How it works is.When eaten by human or animal. It cuts the outside of the parasite and it dies.My dad would get safegaurd wormer.Mix it with the diatomaceous. And worm his hounds. It worked like a charm. After he done that.He would only have to worm his hounds once maybe twice a year.

Here is some more info on it

Diatomaceous Earth (Human Grade) is a fantastic natural pesticide that deters all manner of insects that torment our animals. We feed this as a parasite killer to all our rescue horses. We do not use paste wormers or those that are bagged and put into feed. These are full of chemicals. Here is an overview of the substance and links for buying it online if your local feed or garden supply store does not carry it.

What is Diatomaceous Earth?

It is a non-toxic, safe substance made up from crushed fossils of freshwater organisms and marine life. Crushed to a fine powder and observed through a microscope, the particles resemble bits of broken glass. Deadly to any insect and completely harmless to animals, fish, fowl or food. Most insects have a waxy outer shell covering their bodies, diatomaceous earth scratches through this shell causing the insect to dehydrate leading to eventual death.

General Review of Diatomaceous Earth

Diatomaceous Earth mode of action for insect and parasite control is strictly mechanical. The microscopically sharp edges contact the insect or parasite, and pierce their protective coating, so they soon dehydrate and die. The larvae is affected in the same way. This makes Diatomaceous Earth an excellent and totally natural control, with no indicating of mechanical or chemical damage to the animal tissue. It can be used as a dust for fleas, lice and other external pests by rubbing into the coat of the animal.

Both internal and external parasite and insect pest control will result in improvement in health, appearance and behaviour, as well as assimilation of feed, which means improved weight gain and lowered feed cost.

Ashville agriculture has changed to fifth season gardening but they do carry D.E. 40 lbs for 27.95 a bag but I'm not sure if it is food grade but if they sell it for edible plant use should be safe for dog consumption. Its called Concern call Joey he is pretty knowledgeable. 877-653-4112 toll-free

Diatomaceous Earth

If it is for Human Consuption.I has to say on the bag FOOD GRADE.But if your just going to rub it on your pets.It can be either food grade or gardening grade.
