The New K-Lite LED K9L

I recieved a new LED K-Lite package today and will give you a little rundown on it as well as doing some testing in the woods. I have it on the charger tonite to fully charge and will give you a report when we hit the woods. It comes complete with 4 pop covers, a smart charger, bump cap, and belt.

There is nothing to adjust or any switches to turn on the headpiece. Everything is controlled by the 5 position click switch and the rocker switch on the belt.

Showing battery pack and head on a scale

K-Lite's new LED headpiece with 6 led's around the perimeter for a flood and 3 super bright led's in the center to really throw a good bright spot. Each set of led's runs off of the same 5 position click switch to adjust the brightness settings. A rocker switch will change the light from a flood to spot.

Rocker switch to change from flood to spot. And also charging port.

For 375$ it better be a better all around light than the smart light which is going for 150$. Looks like a nice setup though, how bright is it and what is the burntime supposed to be.

k9L light

guys mr kelly just sent me an email with the specs of this light, and all i can say is wow!! 300 hrs burn time on flood side, 10 hrs on the spot on highest setting, and the high side is as bright as most spotlight, and the light weights approx. 1.25 lbs. wow, i believe my days of toting that big heavy 20volt 8 amp light is over lol, good job mike and judy.

Here are some photos i took to compare the new K9L Led K-Lite to a 21 volt K-Lite that i also have.

K9L K-LITE LED on left / regular 21 volt with 12v32 bulb on right.

21 Volt K-Lite with 12v32 bulb shining on barn wall from 30 feet away.

K9L K-LITE LED Shining on barn wall from 30 feet away.

Please note the huge difference in overall illumination in the lower photo. There is no black shroud around the light like you see with a normal 12v32 bulb.

?????????

Will a regular spot work on this light Larry? I liked the one Willy bought at Autumn oaks but it didn't have a place for a spot to plug in I don't think. On yours I see where it has the plug in. Sure has a nice spot with the head piece and its definatly bright. Tell Nate If Spock was a little quicker you wouldn't need a good light. The coon would only be about 10 feet up the tree. You could just use a flashlight. LOL

k light G2

I just got a new k light. I purchased the brand new g2 kl advantage. All I can say is WOW! 800 lumens. No spot needed. And the burn times are like crazy.I think it is 300 hours low, and like 14 hours high.
