i bought one a few years ago in the name of the "SUNDOWN COONHUNTERS"

at the county fair , the kids have a class for their best animals to get them into an auction... i have supported it for about 7 years now(over $1000 ) worth....anyway that rabbit was awsome!!! big!!!that rabbit was well made , the young lady i bought it from was explaining to me, that they are stronger and last longer for with better conformation for breeding purposes..in her books she said she can have a more profitable project!!!

We have both New Zealands and Californians. Seems that most does, regardless of breed, do get a little snappy when they are bred, but haven't had a problem with the young ones or those that aren't used for breeding.

We have had the most luck crossing the NZ's and Cali's for meat purposes. The litters seem to gain weight faster, mature earlier, and be healthier than the pure bred litters. Rarely do we breed a pure bred litter, usually only when we need to replace breed stock.
