Accurate Studs...Accurate Pups

Which studs are throwing the most accurate pups?

Which is the most accurate stud you've seen?

Any breed, I'm just wondering.

the nt.ch.gr.ch.lucking's midnite desperado(redbone) is crazy accurate. we'll see about his pups so far pretty accurate.

he is 90% to 95% accurate the other 5 to 7% is uasaully den trees and maybe 3 % slick. and he uasally back a slick treed dog, but i won't say never.

desperado= accurate 90-5/5-10
dam of desperado/cowgirl= 50/50
sire of cowgirl/wylie=75/25
sire of wylie/tornado=80/20
sire of tornado/trooper=75/25

1st number coon or den 2nd number honest slicks rough figures that i feel the dogs were after hunting many night with all listed, and easly see all under 100 + trees

i would say the female has 90% to do with the pups more than the male dog.

I would strongly disagree the female has as much to do with the pup as the male but not 90% if this was the case how would you explain a female bred to one stud and the pups be culls and same female bred to diff stud and 80% of the pups be nice dogs

A stud that has the traits you like and passes them on and you see them same traits in several pups not just a low % of them

dont know about the 90% but if you want accurate dogs they both need to be accurate. to many people put to much emphasis in the male dog. and all they get is treeing idiots that occasionaly sometimes will have something.

Buck Creek Mr Smith is 90%+ accurate according to his owner. I have seen several really really nice pups out of him that always have the meat hangin in the tree.

I am sure there are several more out there but i was real impressed by what i saw. They are real quick track dogs and fast locator tree dogs too.

Something that no-one has mentioned is that the trainer can have a lot to do with the accuracy of a dog by the way he handles the young dog when it is starting to tree. A lot of treeing idiots are caused by petting them just because they are standing on a tree and barking whether there is a coon in the tree or not.
A lot of the accurate dogs are accurate because the owners will not put up with slick trees and knoiw how to train them.
Even if you start with a pup that is from two extremely accurate dogs you can create a slick treeing idiot if you do not handle them correctly.

I think the split on a good dog is more like 40% male, 40% female and 20% trainer.
JMO and it aint worth much in the long run.
