A few weeks ago a guy at work told me he was having the same problem with a male that is a grandson of the female I mentioned above, the problem seemed to start with warm weather, I asked him what he was feeding and Diamond was his answer, I told him to switch to black gold or Purina. I saw him Friday and he was very happy, his dog was recovering his coat and was even acting like he felt better.
I"ve fed Diamond for a long time now and never had a problem like that. Sounds like its an allergy or something. Especially if it happened to a dog related to yours. I feed Diamond Naturals to both dogs due to chicken allergy.
To the original poster...give your dog some safflower oil every day...one or two tablespoons will help. I had females that would blow their coats like that after having pups...it happens.
