ToddK...Titled dog question??

On a dog that is already titled but not finished out to grand yet, is there a way of finding out how many hunts or shows she was put in to get that title? Cause if it took a lot of entries to get that first title then I dont think I want to be wasting my time trying to finish her out where on the other hand if it was done with a minimal amount of entries then I may throw my hat in the ring and try and finish her out. Either way it doesnt matter cause she has a home here for the rest of her life.

Sorry, no way of knowing how many events entered. We only track the number of events where the dog placed. Placements come off the event reports sent in by the clubs. Non-cast winning entries end up in the obscurity of a clubhouse file drawer somewhere.

I am sure there are some thankful for that obscurity. They would hate for folks to know how much some dogs have lost before they got their titles.

I just thought this may be a way of getting my feet wet so to speak in the show ring. I've never had a show dog before and as far as that goes never had one that would even stand still in the pen little lone a bench. I bought her knowing she was a show champ but never intended on showing her. After talking with some of my friends and having them tell me they thought I should go ahead and finish her out I thought I might if I didnt think I was wasting my time and what little extra money I have. I think its been a few years snce she was ever on a bench but I dont think it would take her long to get used to it again, she always seems to pose on the tailgate for a moment before getting in the box. For all I know she may have never been showed after she got her first title. Anyways, if there is a way of finding out what she still needs to be finished out please let me know, I may do it anyway. I'm getting my papers in order to send in but if I need the number off it to find out let me know.

Laura, it doesnt matter at all what she done in the past cause when I saw her and actually hunted with her it was a done deal...she is mine. It wouldnt matter if she had never been on a bench before cause she trees coons and handles better than any I've had before her. I only wish I would have run across her sooner, it sure would have saved me a LOT of headaches...nothing worse than a dog that WILL NOT handle. Oh well the more I think about it the more interested I become about it.
