Has anyone fed Sexton dog food?

I am looking for some feedback. I am currently feeding it & every dog I have has started shaking their head! I have cleaned their ears, used Magnum, Ivomectrin, & mite medicine, & still having problems. I'm trying to eleminate possibilities. Wondered if they are allergic to something in the feed. They seem to be doing ok on the feed, I'm just looking for suggestions! Thanks,John

Jon,,, i always had problems with it also,,, it made my dogs weak and made them look really bad,,,, the new 20/20 is not too bad of feed, it is the best of all,,, but the blue , white and red bags never worked for me

if i were you i would try the 20/20 or switch feed... i feed ultra now and its an "OK" feed but it doesnt work for my young dog and he gets heated up on it,,,, i switched to sportmix for him and it works really well on dogs that seem to heat up on other feeds

It gave mine the runs and they started looking bad. Nasty mess to clean up too. If a dog eats 16 oz of food and craps 16 oz of crap. How much did it absorb? The dark nasty waste looked like saw dust to me.

Same here. Nice firm stool,.Very little of it, and the dogs go and go on it. Shiny coats, the whole nine yards. It is all I will feed as long as the guy i buy it from carries it.

I have fed it for nearly 7 months and NEVER seen that. I would guess you have other problems than the feed.

I switched FROM sportmix to Sexton brothers. Sportmix started becoming very inconsistent and one bag looked like it had ground up straw in it.

My father in law bought one bag of it a year or two ago because of the price. He didn't like it and his dogs wouldn't eat it very well either. Crapped out more than they ate.

Might be an okay feed to put in coon feeders but not to feed to a hard working dog.

I have fed it for years and never had any problems at all. My dogs do as good on it as any other high price food. I like it so do my dogs.

No problems with my dogs before the crappy Sexton food or after I switched back.

I'm not stupid or am I a liar. You must either sale the stuff or work for them as it is junk. Look at what the others are saying here. Same thing that I said.

I never called you stupid or a liar..But on the other thread, you were both when you said I didn't care for my dogs because I feed Sexton Bro. Feed.

Not a dealer, and don't work for them..I just found a feed that my dogs like, perform great on, and doesnt make them crap their guts out or stink to high heaven.

If your dogs are crapping in their pens, it is a good signal they aren't being hunted enough. A dog that sleeps all day and doesn't get exercise will have loose stool form being overfed.

I've been feeding the 21/10 in the summer last year and started again this year. I yet to have any problems with it and my hounds hold up good on it. Best feed $14.00 can buy for a 50 # sack.
