Birds of prey are a favorite here in this household... Un fortunately... we lose an occasional CHICKEN to them... LOL but we LOVE them none the less! I am on a Birders email list and I get some amazing pix from bird photographers... the birds of prey always delight me. Any owls get sent to my older sister, Kate who is an owl freak Bob's out on a errand but I'm forwarding this link to him...he will agreee this is one of the nicest redtailed pix we've seen yet!GORGEOUS! Look at the intense LOOK in his eyes!

nothin worse on rabbits an small game than a hawk most get a lead pill around here . theres always a bunch in the winter months hanging around waiting for a cheap meal. the pheasent an quail population has went dow alot cuase of them.

Great Picture! Always see them on the power lines around my house, just can never get close enough for a pic. Owls I can get though. Lol

Nice pix! Yes, I recognize the Eurasian Kestrel. I've only seen one in a bird show!
