Running fox in the pen is an alternative to running in the wild, as land has been gobbled up for development enclosures have allowed fox running to continue without the risk of tresspass or the ever present road hazard.

Fox pens in NC are regulated, they include escape areas, usually constructed of pipes that allow the fox to escape from the dogs. In the wild when a fox goes to ground sometimes it gets caught because the dogs can get at the fox or dig in, so actually fox running in an enclosure is safer for the fox as well.

There is a fox pen right down the road where I live, Guy that owns it has had it for over 60 years .

He only charges $5 a day for your hound to run in it. They have events there all the time.

IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE AWAY ALL OUR HUNTING FROM US.

THEY NEED TO GET OFF THERE A$$ AND DO SOME REAL WORK
