Purina dog food!

I for one have been doing just as much complaining about dog food as all of you. I have been trying to find something cheaper that has the same results as purina. After trying a couple of different feeds I have came to the conclusion that PURINA is the BEST bar none. The dogs keep there weight up good when getting hunted, they look good, they have energy, they have good stool. I have decided that their food is worth every penny. I guess if I had a product that produced better results than everyone I would charge a little more also.

Purina the cadillac of dogs food! haha

Purina

I have to agree..............

I have tried almost every kind there is and I am very pleased with the results from Purina feeds.

I have one hound on Pro Plan Performance, one on Hi-Pro, and 2 yard dogs on Dog Chow and all are doing great, low stools, shiny hair and a TON of energy...............................Tim

i have to agree i have been trying to find something else but purina performance is hard to beat... cant afford to feed it to all them but at least the ones getting hunted hard. What would you guys feed in the summer months when its hot and not hunting much dog chow maybe?

dog chow is not a good food for any dog it's base is corn dogs by nature are meat eaters not vegetarians now the the other purina products are decent, however there are others brand that are just as good and less expensive as purina has lowered there weights and raised there prices in this economy you can get more for your money and just as good or better for those changing foods you have to make the change gradual or your dogs will have loose stools

Well , being from ohio, I assume you tried Joy, or Hi-standard, or maybe Diamond? I will guarantee you there are better feeds on the market than Purina. You just have to do some homework and spend some money and try them. Just my opinion, please dont persecute me for it?!?!!!

as far as shiny coats go it comes from the corn in the food the same results can be gotten by adding a tablespoon of corn oil to there food a couple of times a week or even better get a can of cheap mackeral from the dollar store and add a tablespoon or so to there food they will get a shine like they were polished and fish adds a lot of ingredients that are benifical to your hound

I've always fed Purina, but about 5 weeks ago, I went to the Sams Club where I always get mine and they didn't have any and didn't know when they were getting any, so I grab 2 bags of the Sam's Brand. NO DIFFERENCE in feed just the PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!

Will probably stick with it for awhile...

There may be other good feeds but purina is still my favorite. I belong to pro-club and feed purina-1, puppy chow and dog chow. Also sams club is carrying the 50lb. bag of dog chow again in my area. With the 7$ rebate checks and the quality of feed that purina makes I'm a satisfied customer. Also purina supports the coonhunter!

i just spoke with purina about this the told me sams was in negotiations with purina about carrying it and they are going to start carrying the 50 lb bags once again now everyone that does feed purina, call them and complain about the size of the bag, if you do so they will send you a bunch of coupons, another thing youve got to think about is what does the dog food co do for your sport, black gold would be the only one that would even come close to what purina does for the coon hunting world and on top of that its good food besides that purina is very readily available i would have to drive 45 min just to pick up a bag of black gold gas is cheap my time is not

that is my biggest thing if i want to go get a bag of dog food if it is a person that is the dealer you have to wait for them to get home or drive 30 mins to a feed store. TSC is just right up the road and has all the purina pro plan you want and the rest of the purina is right at the grocery store. Diamond at TSC really has a nice food in that chicken and rice with no corn, soy, or wheat. And they make it in 2 different protein and fats. I am sure nothing will happen with the diamond food ever again they prolly check it real good now but i still have a hard time getting over that outbreak.
