LA 200 for Lost Voice

How much do you give to a 65 pound hound? Also how is it administered? Thanks in advance.

Maybe it wasn't LA200. I saw on here awhile back what to use but can't find the answer now.

What is the best remedy for a hoarse or lost bark?

Some swear by it. Squirt a couple ccs down their throat every day for 3 days in a row . I've used it but I don't know if it helped or not. Probably keeping the dog quiet for a few days helped more than anything. A vet will give predisone.

I dont know if medication helps, but my dog will lose her voice easily from barking in the kennel. I bought a no bark collar and put it on her anytime she is not hunting. Works great, she hasn't lost her bark since.

I asked my vet, he said to inject 2 or 3 cc. Squirting it orally doesnt really do anything. I am sure some will disagree, I am just telling you what my vet said. I have never used it.

On another note I sent you a PM ov_blues

Thanks for all the replies. Seems like this dog will get his voice back for a few days and then loose it again. A buddy of mine has him at his house and he's tried different things but it is doing the same thing. We were even wondering if it was due to all of the weather changes that we're having lately. The dog is almost 5 years old and we've never had any problems until this winter.

Bob, I just checked my PM's and it said the message was deleted by the sender. Would you mind resending it? Thanks, John

I have had no luck using it on a dog who has lost its mouth or gone hoarse, but have had good luck using on a dog thats getting hunted hard and trees real hard and there mouth starts to sound a little stale or flat. 3cc's 3 days in a row.
