Pounder PUP!!

Artie is looking good. She already has a lot of hunt in her. I've had her hunting, probably 5-6 times already. For a pup 4 months old, she sure goes hunting. She is gone for so long I start to worry! She is too small to put a tracking collar on. Artie is going to be a big dog, but a good looking one! I'm very excited about her. I think she could be something really good! Loves to use her nose, and smells up a lot of trees. The other thing I really like about her is she likes people. Time will tell though!!!

we hunt even if it hits 100+ in the daytime. It will be around 90 when we make our first turn out. But we will always hunt the river or a slough. We just make sure there is water.

Down south the humidity is what makes it unbearable.

Hey Dealer

Just got my papers the other day. Who was Mead's Sioux Valley Woody? He was a Gr.Nt. and produced your Jill dog. Did you or your dad hunt with this dog in the past when you purchased Jill? Sue is growing also, has a good mouth, going to take her to the woods for a little squirrel hunting tomorrow. Its hot and humid here too. Take Care. Da' Rat.

Rat,

Yeah Dad hunted with him in a night hunt one night. Said he was owned by Mead, and Wes Hitt hunted him. Said he was a nice hound, but he circled around the tree when he treed, didn't stay up on the tree. Dad said he only hunted with him that night, but things didn't go woody's way that night. Actually we got jill at autumn oaks one year on a puppy trade. Then we sold her, and baught her back. How's the squirrell hunting? I haven't been yet but I'm planning on going.

Woody

Woody has been owned by a friend of mine for several years now. He is a sure enough coondog. Not the most stylish treedog but will get treed and have the coon. Has thrown some pretty good pups.He will flat blow a hole in the dark and get the job done. I wish I had one like him.

depends how good

of shape your hound is in................90+ if you have been runnin' him/her 4 or 5 nights a week..................above 85 with an out of shape hound, and you might be lookin' at heatstroke................................a poem, from the deep south..........Here I stand, all soaked with sweat..........yes, drenched......totally wet!!!...........But to blame it on the heat, is sure stupidity............'cause everyone knows..............it's the ******* humidity!!!..............written near Macon, Georgia, by yours truly.............August, 2001.
