Introducing Ruby,

Here are a Couple of pics of my New Coonhound, that Im training.
Her name is Ruby, she is doing very well in the woods.
One picture is of her treed, without a Collar, that was scarry as she slipped her Collar, and this is where I found her.
The other pic is of her treed with my Old Chester dog, Chester is the one in mid air. He jumps a bit at the tree.
Ruby is a young Grade Treeing Walker, on day she may be single registered UKC. She is catching right on though.

Had a little trouble posting that other picture.
Will try again later.
Its very exciting to train a new hound, My oldest Coondog, is ageing, and this one may eventually take his place. Sad, but exciting also.

Nice!

Really like the first picture... even if it is a naked hound... Bet you'll be cinching that collar a wee bit tighter from now on!

Best of luck with her and enjoy your old coondawg as long as you can!

Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for the New Year
Happy Hunting too! Heather and Bob

Thanks Heather and Bob,

I figure Ole Chester will give me a couple of more good years, until he retires, Its sad looking at the grey taking over his face.
And in the morning after a hard hunt, you can tell he is sore.
But he goes nuts if he gets left behind.
One thing is for certain, he has earned his keep, and can lay around here all he wants now, that he is old and stubborn. LOL
Have a Merry Christmas.

Old and Gray...

... Bob and I both LOVE the old dawgs... It does make your heart ache a bit to look at the greys build up but each new one tells another great story.... I'm glad he gets to go out despite getting a wee bit ouchy.... I know as time goes on I sure feel everything more! It's easy to decide to retire them even when THEY are not ready so I love to see them keep "working"...when I taught riding I LOVED to use the older horses and keep them moving and happy and having a purpose so they wouldn't get depressed. I think it's the same with the hounds.
Old and stubborn....LOL... Bob will say you're describing me to a T (He's my "trophy husband"... Younger than me ) LOL... by only 3 yrs though....LOL....
Hope we get to see a ost or 2 years from now about Ruby in her old age!

Enjoy, Heather and Bob
