SHe turned out ok

I guess she is going to be ok. My coon hunting partner told me she wasn't going to make it because she would not pay any attention to a caged coon and she wasn't treeing by the time she was 8 months old. but she sure treed this one!!

and boy is she loud!!! she still has a long way to go, but i sure am proud of this little girl.

Jacob

pups starting

don't listen to anything about when a pup should start. every dog is different. the best dog I ever owned didn't start until he was 18 months old. I hunted him hard all the time and he never would do anything but fight and hump another dog. one cold night in feb. it was windy and snowing. he fell treed next to a corn field and after that night he could do it all by himself every night. he was out of Seth Isch's dog, Ruby Red Ringo.

good luck with your female. she looks good.

He is a guy I had just met, and he can get through the briars pretty good with those tennis shoes, and he is a sharp shooter with that 22 w/ iron sights. it was pretty amazing how go of a shot he was.

Thank you!

That's a Beautiful

Hound you have there. All that mess about not messing with a caged coon and not treeing by the age of 6 to 8 months old is just somebody else's belief's in what they want in a hound. You know what you like and if she is it then hey congrats on your hound getting it done. Sometimes a little patiences pays off big. Take care and I wish you nothing but the best with your hound. Have a Merry Christmas as well to you and your family.

Thank you very much Blue Ice,

I was in no hurry to hunt her because i had another dog to hunt and i figured she would start on her own time. She still hasn't barked at a caged coon but i just started taking her with my old dog and she caught on. She treed that one all by herself.

Merry Christmas to everyone!

Jacob

Unless you are planning on hunting at a Zoo I wouldn't worry about her barking at caged coon!
