Very first Vet visit!!!

Got home from School today and my English female, Rebel, came out of her box, digging at her mouth. I was heading in the house, watching her as I walked towards the front door and up my steps. then she started jumping on her hinds legs and just a' snapping her mouth in the air with her looking like a police dog attacking the air! Well, I set my stuff on the porch and went up to take a look at her. She had a small, circular bone.....wedged over her bottom jaw with it stuck behind her bottom K-9's. her mouth was a teensey bloody from the bleeding, and she was a digging and digging at it. Her HUGE tougne had no where to go. I brought her down to the house, having to carry her because the brat wouldnt quit digging to walk! she was FREAKING out, so we called the vet and took her on out. They had to knock her out and use surgical wire to get the bone cut off! poor Rebel, now she is higher than a bird and can't walk strait.lol...She will be back to normal after a good nights rest, but she is comical. Tried showing her in her box and she would pop right out. She wouldn't go in her box so she is sleeping in the house tonight down in the basement in an air-crate! I am wishing her a get well soon the silly goober!!!!!! But that taught me lesson, no more small bones for Rebel! I don't even now were she got it! THEN when we got her to the vet the secretary was calling her a "he" and "how old is HE?" Man, I tell you, I cant count how many times I've got that!!!!!!!!lol
but man, she looked SO pitiful! now all she needs is to get addicted to the pain meds. they perscribed for 4 days!lol

Happy hunting and Happy Holidays everyone!
Take care
Kellie
