Hello to all. Sorry for the late response. One of my friends James McClinton passed away from brain cancer. His veiwing was today at 10:30 and funeral tomorrow at 1:00pm. I ask to please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers at such a hard time. He was one great guy thats humor and wittiness will be truly missed by all.
The TWBFA Sectionals are posted at our website
http://treeingwalkerbreeders.com/in...1&Itemid=72
this is up to date as of Monday June 1 2009. The offical dates will be posted there from now on. I have some request forms sent out right now that have yet to come in so there could a few more by the end of the year.
cpeters30705... i am currently working with Mr. Jack Royal of Leary GA on getting Sectionals in GA. Leary from what I can tell is Southern GA. For some odd reason, the paperwork is having a hard time making it there. I have mailed two packages and neither made it to Mr. Jack. I have sent a third and if it does'nt arrive, I may have to drive there myself
ANY club in GA, or any state, that would like to hold a Sectional all you have to do is ask for a Sectional Request Form, which I will be glad to send you. Any hunts you already have on the books, check with UKC and it can made a Walker Sectional also. The only thing is it can't conflict with another Sectional being held nearby on the same date. I can let you know that once you request a date. ***Edited to add- hunt must be requested 90 days in advance so your club's Sectional ad will be in the right month's issue of magazine, ie.. if you have a hunt booked for July 25th, it can not be made a Sectional as all ad's have been placed already***
All hunt packages for June, I mailed on 5/19/09. Everyone should have them by now. If not PLEASE let me know so I can get another out. I try to call the clubs and make sure of this, but some I can't get ahold of the contact person. I usually get those out 21/30 days in advance.
All awards are mailed out either UPS/FedEx. They are usually mailed out once a month and thats the third to last week of the month. Sometimes this pushes it close for those who have a Sectional at the first of the month. However I have'nt had any club that did'nt get them at least a few days before their hunt. I know this is way to close for comfort and I cringe about this also. We tried sending them out early but sometimes they get lost/misplaced in the months awaiting the hunt date. I had a few clubs call and say their club did'nt get their awards, so we had to send another package. They found them a month later in a closet/cabinet where someone put them up and forgot about them.
All I ask is to please get your paperwork back to me in a timely manner. Any questions please call me I have three phone numbers listed on your paperwork. I can usually be reached at one of the three. You may have to leave a message sometimes, because of my job I can't answer my cell at times, but can get back with you in at least a few hours. Also PLEASE don't be afraid to call me at 2:00 am with a question about your Sectional on the hunt date. I'm usually up, working, or hunting anyway. Any problems please let me know if I don't have an answer, I can get one.
I also ask to please send me back any paperwork you do not use. Most of your paperwork with be two/three part forms. One for the individual and/or club, and one sent back to me. Printing is extremely costly and it is the TWBFA's third largest expense. I can use those again to send to others.
In closing I would like to personally thank each and every person involved in the club's for making everything go so smoothly. I have met a lot of great folks volunteering my time to the TWBFA. As you know/now learning, we do not get paid one cent for the work we do, and that includes all Directors and Officers. It is all done by those who love the sport of coonhunting and love the Treeing Walker breed. Please take a moment to thank those Directors and Officers for the hard work they do. We all certainly appreciate the hard work the members/clubs do to help make our work a little easiser.
Thanks again,
Jody
