Keeping Bench Dog on Toes

I just brought my redbone back from being trained for a month, and she's doing great on the bench. The only problem I'm having (and the man mentioned I'd need to keep working on it) is that I can't seem to keep her on her toes in the back. Her front feet usually look great, but when I set up her back she'll stay up for a few seconds and then look flat-footed again. I played around with how far I had her set out to make sure that wasn't the problem, and even with her legs in the correct placement I couldn't get her back feet to look as nice as they usually do. Any tips? I should have asked more questions before I left, but I hate being a nuisance!

Mine are always the other way around. A trick I use is caps off of a 2-liter bottle of pop. Place them under the pad and it gets them up on their toes.

I have tried that works pretty good. Your dog will know if they get flat footed out come the caps.

I've seen where they use a small peice of wood about 3/4" thick running side ways across the bench. Dog always hits it then. Foot placement is the same has the bottle cap trick.
