I hunt in WI and it gets pretty cold. After the gun deer season, (like now), it can be pretty cold at night. The coon seem to be few and far between, even if I can find standing corn. Anyone have any success tips for cold nights? Just wondering how some people are able to shake 'em down.

couple freinds were out tonight and treed a couple on the outside..no track just fell treed..then the second drop the dogs hunted two sections and pick them up on the second road...thats when i put my ford in a ditch and had to have a chevy pull me out..lol its snowing and blowing now..

Yeah I'm watching the snow falling in Benton right now.... getting nasty out, but I still wish I was hunting. It's not even about killing, to me it's about being out in the woods and hearing all your hard work in the off season pay off with your dogs. But, giving that hard earned coon to your dogs also puts a smile on my face.
