It all started out lika normal nite of hunting,,,,,mornin calsl to set up the hunt,,,,,,get picked up at dark 30 by hunting bud... go turn loose below the house on a creek......dogs struck deep... we drove to git close...listen to the race..... drive closer..listen..... drive futher...... dogs tree drive as close as we can......walk to dogs.. find the coon quick......... gather up the dogs and head back to truck,,,,,,Dogs all goin to striking so we turn loose...... they all just went to treeing inthe air and ona blowed over tree. it went up to anuther tree,,,,,,after a few minutes i found the coon up the tree,,,,,, went to gathering dogs, i got two quick,, buddy got one of his and it yanked loose with the lead,,,,, it came by me i grabbed the lead,,,,,, then caught my other dog by the collar..... raised up and yell to my bud i had all the dogs but his new project,,,, he was up the blow over..... soon as i stood all the up and looked up............IM met with a face full of dog.. he jumped from the tree about 7 to 8 feet off the ground. his head hit my right on the bridge of the nose and down i went......my bud said i dropped to my knees instanly then fell over,,,said i was out cold for 10 to 15 seconds..... took me about 10 minutes to git my legs to quit wobblin for we head on out to the truck... we tooka few minutes break,,,,,,, went and turned loose agin down a nuther creek..... dogs all struck and treed in a cedar tree....coon seen...... dogs had a good nite. 3 for 3.......wsnt a bad nite cept for me gettin KNOCKED out in the second round!! this mornin my nose is swoll..... and under both eyes witha hint of blackness showing up................. ya just never know what will happen on a hunt..............

...Hey, Lyndon... Knew you'd get a kick out of our post... I think Bob has clunked heads with enough dawgs to KNOW How hard headed they are....
Man....I know I was Purty when I had a HORSE do the same thing to me a long time ago... My dad was a plastic surgeon...and I was with a friend and she said..Um Heather we need to go RIGHT home... I think your nose is broken... I said Nah and finished up what we were doing with the horses...LOL.. Got in the car...dropped the vanity mirror and shreiked... I KNEW my dad was going to kill me for waiting! LOL.. I had 2 black eyes...nose off to the side... didn't hurt till my dad...God Bless that CRUEL beast... stuck his thumb against the dislocation... and said "WOW! LOOK!" and I turned my head against his thumb... Click...LOL.... After he died and I dislocated the nose a few more times.. Thanks to dawgs....(side effect of being 4'11"...easy to head bash)... I learned to relocate it myself. The bone and cartilage never re attached so a bump can snap it off again...LOL....
That pain that flashes up Into Your Brain.... you are SO lucky you went Out Cold....LOL...
AND.. Susie is right... you write great stories. YOu and Two Toes are a couple of my favorite story tellers on here. I must also add TopDog... on the red forum... You guys can bring us right out into the woods with us.....

Susie.......... shoulder is okay..... hey i was being careful...... it was that dad gum dog tryin kill himself jumpin out 8 foot up!!! if it wasnt for me blockin his jump no telln what would have come of the dog!"LOL"

Heather........i try to make my stories were even peoples with dim bulbs can understand!' chuckles' if i didnt have this off beat humor i got. i know were they be one less dog!!"LOL"

Black and tan girl.... LOL... Bob's been threatening me with a safe rubber room.... I look like a walking bruise and just feeding the chickens I get bramble scratches...usually on my face...I KNOW where the branches are..I KNOW wher ethe chicken roosts are(yet still almost get knocked out walking into them....LOL...

I know how hard it is not to beat the dog/horse etc... that whacks you like that... It's Not like they do it on purpose...Is It? LOL.........

Kim......... if she did do it. she has a long arm.......... she's been in California for 3 weeks or so now"LOL"...... and suprisingly when i told here she took it quite well.......i told her s he jinxed me..... she always tell me to be careful.....tuesday for i left she said be EXTRA careful......... that jinxed me...........my moms and pops always toll me i was a natural born accident lookin for a place to happen!!!!!!

Heather......i got patients with kids and young dogs most foke dont.... that was only its second time in the woods at nite..... so i decided im cut him some slack...... and told my bud... leaning trees are yours to catch dogs on now....or clip one of that dogs ears.........keeps chickens from flying..... perhaps dogs to????????
