time period to finish a well started dog

i have a female that is 2 years old. by no means finished but will tree her own coon and looks good about half the time. hasnt been hunted much for her age but getting a good amount of time in the woods now. probally would really be clicking now if still hunting up north. how long should it take me to finish this dog to where she knows when she is turned loose to go get under a coon and do it right. basically ready for the competitions where i wont take alot of minuses. seems as soon as i correct one thing another hurdle comes up a different night. nothing major, she just doesnt put it all together the majority of the time. will she benefit more from hunting by herself, with a dog that is finished and will hunting with youngd dogs that are further behind then her reallu hurt her. any info is much appreciated

It sounds like to me, a good coon season will do wonders for her. The night after night of dropping coons on a dog will mature them into consistant coondogs better than anything else. Hang on, it sounds like you may have a good one.

If she can do it by herself then I would mainly hunt her by herself until she is where I want her.
Like Redtick said,a good kill season will do her a lot of good.
