Thanks Brigman - we just got in. Tired but elated. This is just a really fun show and nicest bunch of people to deal with. It's so nice to pull up and have four or five different people grin and say "Texas is here!". We also get to stay with my dad when we go up there in the beautiful ozarks of northeastern arkansas on the soothing shores of Greer's Fairy Lake. My dad has a whole acre fenced in so we were able to let the dogs have some good leg stretching runs after their trip and they were relaxed and ready to show by Saturday. Dwayne, Jace, and my dad were up at 4 a.m. and on the lake Saturday morning, arriving back at the house just as I finished bathing all the dogs thank you very much!
We finished two dogs with Luke going to Grand and Lil Bit ending what was beginning to look like a quest to be the all time hi-point registered dog with no best in show lol, but she is now finally a CH. Both these dogs are out of the female we lost on the road this year so it was especially touching to get to finish them. Dwayne has decided yet again that he 'can't give up on Luke yet' so **sigh** he's off the market AGAIN!
And Nighty Nite Moonlight Kate won the grnite friday! Go red girl!
I highly recommend anyone who hasn't gone up to this show run by this great bunch of people to make every effort to make it up next year. This show and hunt just keeps getting better.
