New to board - New to Showing. What kind of supplements/feed do you "PROS" recommend for improving a dogs coat. My 10yr old daughter has gotten interested in showing and went to her 1st show yesterday with a 9 month old pup she raised. I noticed when up against the other dogs her coat did not look as shiny as the others. She eats Purina dog food - which I thought was the best.

Any advise?

Hookworm I have never showed a dog in my life but the best feed I have ever had has been ULTRA, and BLACK GOLD. My dogs seem to look pretty good on it.

hookworm if you get some jack macerel from the dollar store it will do the trick it is only $1 per can and i give it to all my dogs and i can tell a big difference in my dogs coats. i like that better than all those sprays and stuff. oh yeah one can every other day or so.

I was just told this last weekend to give them a raw egg with their feed everyday or a little bit of cooking oil. Feed pro plan!!

no jack mackerel is like a cheap salmon but it is loaded up with omega 3 and it will make their coat shine. i have a jet black female pit bull that i could put outside on a dark night and she would shine. it maytake a little bit of gettin used to for the dogs but once they do they will gobble it up like biscuits and red eye gravy. give it to them straight out of th can and you should be ableto find it in the cannedmeat section of any dollar store for 1 buck per can.
