Question about females in heat.

My gyp, yr and half old, is in her first week. Will it hurt her or anything if I still hunt her? Thanks

I wouldnt take the chance. if she is doing good when she is this young, she gets bred and she probably wouldnt be the same the rest of her life....just lock her up for 3 weeks and let her come out...and besides, they do some CRAZY things when they are inheat....atleast my wierdos here do!!!!lol....

happy hunting and take care

Mine came in 3 day's ago and she's going to set it out....I know it a hassle but it's only twice a year and males are in heat 24-7...

WE PERSONALLY KEEP A HUNTING THEM...GREAT TIME TO SINGLE THEM OUT AND HUNT THEM ALONE...SOME WILL ACT A LITTLE GOOFY BUT MAJORITY WONT...CAN ALSO PUT A LITTLE VICKS VAPOR RUB ON HER AND IT WILL HIDE THE SMELL...ON A YOUNG HOUND THAT IS JUST GETTING TO REALLY ROLLING, 3 WEEKS IN THE PEN CAN SOMETIMES SET YOU BACK 3 MONTHS...I PERSONALLY WOULD PUT HER IN THE WOODS!!!I AM HUNTING A 10MTH. OLD RIGHT NOW THAT IS IN HEAT!!!

Thanks everyone. I mostly hunt her alone anyway, but I think that I can hold out for a couple of week. Might hunt her 1 or 2 nites to she what she will do. Again Thanks.
