When can you run???

MY husband has to go into ODF&W next week for our Coon regs. Since they seem to take and take, we are going to ask for more. I need to know some stuff about other states. Anyone that can let me know about your state I would appreciate it very much..

What state you live in?
What is your Persue Season?
What is your kill season?

Thank you very much..

-Nora

We live in Michigan

Training Season: July 15-September 30
Kill Season: October1-January 31
Running Season
/Training Season February1-April 15

Quiet Season April 16-July14

The last one absolutely sucks.
You can either break the law and take your chances, or kennel them up and wait. Waiting stinks, but it's the law. With as high as gas is and everything, a fine for running out of season isn't gonna cut it. I am not sure how expensive it is, but I heard the fine gets gradually more expensive with each time someone here is caught.

I know in missouri season runs nov 15th to jan 31st
dog training is year round with a small game permit, but no killing, and we could not carry a gun. Although... every once in a great while those ringtails will fallout of the tree...funniest thing.

ND is the praire pothole state where reproduction of ducks and geese is king. We also have great populations of ring-neck pheasants and grouse. Coons are seen as the villians by most hunters, game and fish department, Ducks/Pheasants Unlimited, etc. Me and about 10 other coonhunters in the state are tasked with controlling a population of about a million coons. It's a tough job but someone has to do it!

Actually, I limit my kill to about one coon a month and only for training purposes. But I tell my duck/goose/pheasant/grouse friends that I slaughter them all.

We don't have a season in Montana, they are considered varmints and can be hunted and killed year round. We don't kill many though because we don't have an overabundance of coons here. T.Beyer, check the regs. and you will find that a landowner or a designee assigned by the landowner can kill coons year round if they are doing or about to do damage to property, at least that's how they read last year. I believe a stand of corn would be considered property.
