A sad day indeed, but glad to have had him as a dog, friend, and companion. Years full of wonderful memories, not only in the woods and hunts, but on fishing trips, camping trips, and just being buddies. A dog that always wanted to please me and I will certainly miss him.

Sorry to hear that! You know what I thought of him, and enjoyed the time he stayed at our place, and loved him everytime I hunted with him. I'm sure you will hear him again, in the young dogs some night and think back to the great times you had with him.

Certainly a hound who has left his mark in the breed. Also sounds like he left a BIG part of himself in your hearts, where he will remain. He takes a part of his loved ones with him as well. He'll be waiting patiently at the Big Old Tree where he will greet you all some day when you walk in to meet him.

I am awful sorry to hear this, Daniel and Amy.

I'm glad I got to hunt with the old fellow and get some of his blood in my dogs before he passed.

It's tough to lose one like that.

He has made his mark in Bluetick history.

Sorry to hear of the loss of Blue. I know he was a special hound and friend. He lives on in memories and his offspring. I will think of him as I listen to his daughter blowing the top off. You had something extra special and he touched a lot of people.

somehow I missed this post...Im sorry to hear blue is gone....sure glad I got a chance to see him cut loose...theres no two ways about it, it just sucks when you lose one you have had so long and had so many memories with....heres how I remember him....
