Coon hunting forum new and old

The coon hunting forum thing is new to me but also has grown old. I see Young people on these forums who are asking question that may seem stupid to a seasoned veteran but are real questions to them. They are met with some folks who are complete jerks. I bet most of the folks that are such jerks on these boards probably are 5' 4' tall and weigh 125 lbs soak and wet. they hide behind a computer and try to make life miserable for folks who are just trying to learn something. I am a pretty nice guy but nothing bothers me more than to see an unsolicited attack against someone who is simply asking a question. Does it make you feel better when you know you are crushing someones hopes or killing their desire to be a part of the coon hunting community. Come on folks we should guide these newcommers instead of trying to be a wise A**

Greed and Jealousy... I see more of it in the coonhunting world than any other type of sport/organization/competition!

Try youth baseball ... worst I have seen. While some people attack, I don't believe that is the intent of most. One thing about using an open on-line forum is many times people come across in a completely negative manner when they don't intend too.

We are without the aid of inflection in our voices and without the aid of body language and facial cues. This form of communication is many times taken out of context. Don't be mistaken it doesn't matter what form of communication you chose, communication is still an art and we all can use some elbow grease to polish up our own.

When in doubt, I try to cut people a break. If I think they have misunderstood me, I send them a personal message trying clear up any potential misunderstanding.

Overall, I believe most people on this forum will bend over backwards to help.

I coach youth baseball. I know how hard that can be.
Take for instance the post by bluebelle (dog question)
Read that and you will see exactly what I am talking about.
there are alllot of great folks on here and I understand the fact that we all do not have the advantages of listening to voice infections but that is not what I am talking about. It is the mean spirited people. You cannot hide that!

George, I am bashing your post, just kidding. I don't know about 5'4" but I would feel better if I lost a few #.

When your a kids coach dealing with future major leaguers you better not let Susie or Johnny set on the bench more than their share. It's not about winning but you better win.

We have all heard about the dumbest question that wasn't asked and a mistake made because of it.

I had an older gentleman tell me one time, the dumbest person you ever meet can tell you something you don't know.

I know what you are talking about. little league is ruthless.

My Ed female is doing great. She always gets first strike. She runs with great speed and is getting better all the time on her tree work. She has a long bawl on cold track and goes into a higher pulling mouth while running. She will locate with a long bawl followed by a couple of short chops. then she will start blowing the tops of the trees. She does not chop on tree. Thank you again for selling her to me. She is a pleasure to hunt and is learning things on her own without being trained like walking behind me on lead and loading herself in the truck.
