training a horse to shoot off

question for those who use horses to hunt big game. How do you train your horses to shoot off of. I have heard two different schools of thought on this one.

First step might be to explain your own relevant knowledge...... If you have heard about two schools of thought then maybe try to enlighten as towards what you allready know and avoid someone givin you the helmet, or crayon's response..... I have two horses that I would shoot comfortably off of, They are that good as far as that goes because they have had a great number of hours of riding...... As far as horse trainin goes then trainin one to stand calm when asked is a wet saddle blankets solution.... Gun fire in itself is a slow exposure process...... Start far away and lots of ammo later and not pushin them, wil give you the results you are lookin for... Just depends on the horse how slow you have to go with them....
Rhino.

The joke the auctioneer used to tell around here when someone asked if you could shoot off one was every horse can be shot off of once,LOL.Rhino's got it right on lots of exposure and lots of wet saddle blankets.
