To much thinking time.

Reason's for Houndhunting
Have you ever been out alone on a pitch black night with millions of stars sparkling in the skies overhead? Do you ever feel like you could almost reach up and touch them, knowing that the good Lord lives amongst them, does it make you feel closer to Him?Do you get the overpowering feeling that you should say something to Him since he is so close? Do you ever take the time to be still and just listen to the wonderful world he has provided for your enjoyment?Do you pity the people that have never done these things?
Do you have a hard time explaining to someone, that doesn't have a clue, as to why you hunt with hounds.Hard isn't it?Is it hard for you to make them understand that by harvesting a few of the game you hunt helps to keep them from overpopulating and thus meeting a more horrific demise from highways, starvation, desease and the numerous other means that causes suffering?
Is it hard to make them understand that by pursueing some of the more dangerous species to mankind,it helps to keep them wary of humans(whether or not you harvest) and thus makes the world where these animals reside a safer place for people of all ages to enjoy? Is it hard to make them understand that simply by persueing the different game animals it makes the species stronger and thus helps insure their existance?
When you watch programs on TV showing overpopulated places where children are starving to death because there is no means of foodsupply, does it make you wonder why some of the animal lover groups can't understand that the same thing happens to the animals they are trying to preserve because those animals have nothing to eat and no means of raising their own crops for their survival?
Is it hard for you to understand when these type of people had rather save some animal rather than some young person that, without the sport of hunting with hounds, might get into other things that could lead to a horrible life or possibly death?
Do you ever wonder, when watching a news media of children taking lives,if hunting with hounds would have made a difference in that childs morals and outlook on life?
If you answered YES to any of the above questions, wouldn't it be to our benefit to ban together in an effort to educate others as to why we hunt hounds instead of fighting amongst ourselves while our rights are slowly but surely fading into the pages of obsolete history?

I don't know. That is the problem.I often think of trying to organise something but that is all I do...think of it....I am guilty of thinking about it then just shrugging my shoulders and thinking someone else will have to do it because I don't know how. They say be sure to join hound supporting groups to help and I do that but I have never seen or heard of anything that goes toward educating the public. Most of the organazations I belong to spend most of their effort alerting hunters of different laws that jepordise our sport and this is great and helpful but I think if we had someone lead us toward a good way to explain our needs to the general public would go a long way in defeating most of our battles with the government.
