ga state hunt all said and done

i have just got back from the state hunt in americus. we hunted 43 dogs friday and 48 saturday. i will tell you what i would like to give a huge thank you to mr. kevin phillips he really put this together we had police out in front of the fair grounds for the traffic excellent guides and judges and good hunting. we had great food and they raffled off some good prizes, cajun lights was there and gave everyone a deal on new lights, congrats to mr. Jake garner for winning it all both nights.
We had our state meeting saturday afternoon and there two spots nominated for the 09 state greensboro and roberta{griffin fair grounds} well roberta won by show of hands. we also voted on to move the state hunt in a clockwise direction every year. so no region has it more then others the hall of fame will still be held in gray ga. considering it is in bylaws, that is where it will always be held. the northeast and southeast got new represenetives for there area wallace gillisipie is the northeast and i can't remember the southeast. i think that about sums it up. the only else i have to say is good luck to the boys from roberta putting this next state hunt together because Mr. Phillips has set the bar high for next year.

English, sorry I am a little late responding! After we cleaned up and got outta there sunday morning I came hm and went to bed and slept all day. We had a good weekend and quite a few showed up and unfortunately due to unseen circumstances a few of my guides had emergencies but we still had plenty. Next yr the hunt will be put on by the Roberta club and they will have the fairgrounds in Griffin, Ga. We need to come out and support them and get our numbers up. Gas, hotels and all will cost me to go there as it would anyone else. Get with your buddies and room together and if you have to ride together. The Federation is for everyone and we as hunters in this state need to support them. Had several out of state hunters who support us and signed up we as Georgians need to do the same! I want to say that the Hannahatchee Club and the Federation worked hard together to make this a successful event and even though we didnt get where we quite wanted to be we were definitely up and we want to continue to grow. Thk you and all you brought with you and all who attended and helped!!! I hope that they get all the winners posted on here as I would hate to try and do it and wish I had written them down myself where I could have posted for all! Thanks again to everyone for making this a successful event!
