Joey + redticks
I'm real sorry for your loss. We just had to put our Greyhound to sleep in January and you are right you WILL miss ALL those things, good and bad. Our old guy was a Total Pain in the neck..and we loved him every moment anyway. Bob misses having to carry him up to bed at night (almost 90 lbs!), having to spend Forever to get him to eat his prescription food, help him on the ice....
BUT... you know what? They are still in our hearts. We have him and 2 of our coonhounds cremated and their collars hang on the "urns" which are wood. All three are up on the mantel piece right near me as I type. We may bury them some day and may not? Time will tell..... When I go up to bed tonight and just 2 coonhounds follow me up I'll still feel that the greyhound is near me.
Danny is painfree and young and tough as a BIG dog now. He is in your heart and he took a part of you with him as well. He'll never be lonely. You loved him a ton, I can tell and he knew that...They always do.
I'm sending thoughts and prayers for you and your family for your loss, Sincerely, Heather (and Bob and family too)
