that you may have ever attended, where and when was it??

Just wondering with the travels of many where and when they may have had what they think would classify as their BEST hunt ever, and if you've had more than 1 GREAT !!

ME; Ada Okla 2 years ago was a very good hunt for me, and had a ball while out there, and last year in Sedalia, MO it was one of those nights when the dog could just do no wrong, off to himself, and a coon in every tree he made. LeGrange IN last year on the Invitational hunt, four great dogs and it went down to the wire and the last 2 minutes of the hunt, sportsmanship from all and a hunt I will always remember. 1995 Lumberton NC and winning the US Championship on a rainy night, great cast and outstanding hounds.

Well, just a few of mine, anyone got a place or hunt they remember?????

in 1980 something, was in Oak Harbor, Ohio............Night Champion cast............great guide and judge (John Walkup)...........4 good hounds and handlers.............treed 4 coons.....won the cast with 575....it wasn't enough.........hunted against the best Black and Tan female that I've ever drawn.....Queen, I think...guy from New York named Ken Adair owned her.................just a real enjoyable cast.

Yea, I had a decent hunt in Sedalia, Mo last year on Thursday night.

This past spring I guided a cast on a UKC qualifying hunt and scored on 6 trees with coon in them and scored 962.5+.

Back in the early 80's I was hunting a 13 month old pup named Willy. In nine days and three hunts Willy scored 650+, 750+, 950+. I guess those 3 hunts are most memorable since I can remember most of the trees we scored on. How can anyone let such junk use up brain cells?

Yet another hunt, many years ago I was hunting against three well know walker breeders. We had treed several coon, split and together. Fifty points seperated the top three Gr. Nt. Ch. hounds. The little female I was hunting split off from the other hounds and ran a track like she was looking at the coon. She ran it several hundred yards before slamming a tree. If the coon is seen I had the cast won since time ended just a few seconds after she treed. No such luck, it was a din tree. The walker female that won the cast was sure a nice hound.

Last years zone 5 at Marshalltown, Ia. and this years spring Super Stakes at Sullivan, In. Good guides, good judgeing, great hunting and drew good dogs every nught.

my best hunt. was when my girl tater bug and i went on a hunt in summersville ga. (her first comp hunt) and she took 1st place. can anyone tell me how could it possibly be better for me than that night.. gary woods

American Heritage, hunted Rock in it when he was 19 months old, scored 800+ high score of hunt. Never hunted it again untill last year, hunted Rock in Grands and won it with 725+ . He could do no wrong.

I went to Brazil In. and attended their World All Around Coonhound Championship Coon Hunt,and had a really good time. My cast was very fun to hunt with and honest. We made three trees and seen three coons. The people were very nice to me, not only in my cast but people at the club also.

attending bbcha, ashland,ohio. dave dean, charlie roosa, ron hodous (hody), lee sherburn, shelton morris, dave darby, carl kasse, bob wheat, warnie emmons the anderson's (from mich.)...you name them..they were all there. this event was my first BIG bluetick one and it was awesome. gr nite ch northern blue gail was , at the time, one of the hardest treeing females my husband had ever see. roosa won it all with dual gr ch northern blue chico. my favorite all-time hunt? spectating with gr nite ch hammer VI when he won ohio state nite hunt. he did a heck of a job and treed when other's just boo-hooed around. lol! saw him do a lay-up as well. my favorite event hunt? gr nite ch northern blue jack and gr nite ch morris blue river boomer. boomer won the bboa zone that year. it was alot of fun. and sherburn only wiped out one mailbox heading back to the club with us all in the back...lol! gosh...but that was a scary ride!! rofl!!

I remember my dad saying once that he'd like to place in the Top 20 of the world hunt before he died (he's 73, so you start to think about those things).

So....my favorite hunting moment was....pulling up to the motel at 6:00 AM after Thursday night of the 2001 UKC World Hunt Finals and waking my dad up to tell him that we had finally made it into the Top 20 of the World Hunt.

"Really?"

I'll never forget it.

About 2 years ago I went to Fox Knob in Chillicothe OH, Hunting registered class.
2 dogs got scratched for fighting at the very first tree and after 2 more trees the other dog withdrew and I still had an hour and 15 mintues to hunt by myself in some of the best hunting in the country.

The most memorable hunt was hunting with Byron Stalnaker and dad on lower cedarcreek in WV.Byron knew so much history on blueticks when they seperated from the english breed.He owned a hound called Glenvilles rowdy out of Ellisons blue tigge,both were well known for staying treed for hours folks would not believe.Elbert Vaughn traveled to WV to get some of this breeding.
My next was the last hunt with Homer Searls,miss you buddy.These hunts to me are about people as much as the dogs,for those that cant see past the wins and trophies youre beating a dead horse.
