I am a UGA Fan and love Georgia football as much as anyone. However, when you lose two conference games in the way they lost them, its hard to argue for them to be in the national championship. LSU did lose two games both in OT and didn't put on a slack performance in either game really. In the South Carolina game, the High scoring offensive player for Georgia was the kicker. That doesn't say alot on behalf of a BCS bid. And the Tennessee game was almost like they missed the bus to even show up. I hope they learn from it and play ball every game for four quarters next year. I did disagree with the selection of their opponent being Hawaii in the sugar bowl based on the strength of schedule factor. There was no real glory to be gained for UGA at this game. If you win, well you beat a team that didn't play anybody to speak of all year. If you had lost, well you were beaten a team that didn't play anybody to speak of all year. I was glad to see them win big, but would have liked to see a reputable opponent for them. The BCS is really an oddity in the way they select teams. You don't have to be SEC champs for example, to get to the national championsip game according to their rules, but even so it ain't goin to happen that way. Oh well, it was another win and the sun is shining yet again in Bulldog Country.
