does neutering a coon hound make it less of a hunter?

New to this= been raising pit bulls, now my fiance wants to move on to coon dogs (specifically black & tans)- found a great pup, but the owners had it fixed- will that make it less of a hunter? If it will, I'm looking for a coon hound pup in the VA area- will consider all breeds. Let me know! Thanks!~

Crazy in a good way or bad way?

I am interested in this subject also. I don't like raising pups but have a super super nice female that I want a litter out of. After that I figured on getting her fixed, making it easier to hunt year round with the boys

I really think that if the hunt is there, it is there. And they will only be fat if they were prone to chunkyness anyways... But would really be interested in what people have to say...

being fixed wont change a thing, except it cant reproduce, if it had it in it to hunt, its gonna hunt

A friend of mine had a dog that he had neutered when it was 2, he hunted the same as before he was neutered except he lost his interest in females
