the dog acted friendly, the cooks at the truckstop gave it something to eat,,dont look like its been loose too long ,in good health,,acted like it was looking for someone that turned it out, maybe stolen and got too hot for the people to hang onto him,so maybe they dumped him.very good looking dog,25-26"tall houndy head, blanket back with patch on rump, white spike on forehead ,could be a show dog too. he was useing his nose a lot around the lot, steady hunting with nose on ground.would go up within 5' of people and wag his tail,,he was looking for someone..

he was at crazy ed's truckstop between sweetwater and athens tn. at exit 56...so if you heard of a stolen or lost male walker,,this dog could be it,,

the dog looked good enough for the bench ,he looked as good as my cruzen hawk blood,,marked like joe and had a head like old hawk (pictures on my website)

the dog wasnt a pup, looked to be 2-4 yrs old ,i thinking maybe stolen and person got scared and dumped him before they got caught with it,,was a fine looking dog, looked like the old finley river blood ..like a real hound should look...pass the word ,the dog didnt look like a dog trader dog,,might be someones stud dog..

can you catch him? if he was dumped by a crook, I'd hate to see some idiot use him for target practice or animal control take him to a shelter...... the first thing they'll do is cut him and if he is a good stud, that would terrible...... if you (or someone in that area) could at least get him off the street, after a couple weeks if he's not claimed you might try him.... never know he may be outstanding, there is always a kid or young adult trying to get into coonhunting that would take and probably be happy to give you your feed bill..... he wouldn't be registered, but for a beginner it shouldn't matter (especially if they got him for a feed bill or free)...... i'm nowhewre close or I'd attempt to catch him.....

I didnt send ya a pic. I cant find it on my computer. If he was marked up like your joe dog. That would not be him anyhow.. He was dark red headed with a full blanket. Alittle flat footed in the front.
