Remember

Let's all remember 9/11 and the ones who have lost love ones on that day and so many days since then. It seems like it ways only yesterday. God bless and pray to God for this country and its leaders and the greatest military that the world has ever known. Thanks to all our veterans also.

GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!!

Can everybody remember what they were doing when this horrible traggidy happened?

I was on my way to work. I was calling my best friend on the cell phone to wish her a Happy Birthday when it came across the radio. It was total silence when she answered.

Just think, all I have to do is make that phone call to my best friend today. I will say an extra prayer for those who lost so much on that day. The ones trying to start their day with this heavy in their hearts. The ones that can't call their best friends. Sabrina

It is weird how we can remember exactly what we were doing when that happened. I was sitting in homeroom my senior year of High School. The principal came over the loud speaker and asked that all televisions in the school be turned on and that the day stopped and no teaching until further notice. About 45 minutes later my Mom came to school and signed me out. She wanted us all home together.

I was...

Working that day; and when they had the first tower shown; it showed the second one being hit.. My personal thought, was that the world was being thrown into complete chaos that day.. I left work; went and got my two kids from school; called my husband who was in the military at that time to let him know the kids and I were home.. It didn't take long: just days for so much so change.. They were barracading all of the guard armories/military posts all over the states: posts that had not had i.d. checks for years put that back into place; but more over: the suffering.. Not forgetting the pentagon; the airplane that the passengers diverted: saving lives while losing their's.. I do not believe that the memory of this tragedy can be minimized: no one will ever forget: no one should.. Let us hope and pray that these events have taught us that each day is precious: each life and soul is precious.

I was working

when my wife called and said a plane had hit the one Trade Tower. I couldn't figure why a litle plane would have hit it, didn't the pilot see it? It made no sense but we began talking about it at break and then someone in the maintenance office had their computer on a news source and we learned that it was no little accident. The college cancelled classes and we went to set up chairs in the chapel for a prayer service. TV's around the campus had large groups of folks watching quietly, some crying other getting more pissed off by the minute then we saw the pentagon and the other tower hit then the towers fell. It really shook us down deep. It was hard to sleep that night and the next few days as air traffic was grounded I remember being so angry that they had used airplanes as weapons. As a kid we used to look up at every airplane we heard but now the skies were empty except for our military keeping planes on patrol. To this day I still look at airplanes going over but now I have a slight fear that someone may use one to hurt someone. Hate that I have that feeling.
