Youngest show champion ???

Anybody have any idea what the youngest UKC show champion and Grand show champion is since they changed the rules of 6 months old before showing rule??

Let me know what some of you know or have heard about.

thx

Rick
p.s. I am going to shoot for it with a pup of mine when it hits 6 months old.

Also what about UKC night hunt title. I know there was one that made night champion at 5 months and some weeks old.
Rootens Joe I think his name was. Or it could have been Rootens warrior. One was the pup I am talking about and the other one was his daddy. It's been so long ago, can't remember.

I don't think you can hunt a dog till they turn 6 months old so I'm not sure how they made NTCH at 5 months old.

I dream big Blueticking.....

Like they say....Go Big or Go Home!!!!

Great Job Bartley....That's what I am talking about. The 5 month old Nt. champion was before UKC changed the rules. There were no age limits several years ago. I saw the ad where Rootens Joe made nt. Ch. at 5 months and 29 days. Just a day or so shy of 6 months old.
Blueticking Old Rowdy might have been one of the most powerful dual purpose hounds that ever lived. He won almost every major show there was and not to mention placing at most of the major hunts as well.

I want to duplicate excellence since mine go back to Rowdys daddy's bloodlines.

Keep watching these pups. I'm naming mine Mean Jean. She whips every pup every day just for the heck of it. She is the smallest pup and by far the toughest. We'll see if we can win the world hunt without getting scratched for fighting. hahahaha

thanks everyone for your responses. If anyone knows more, join in.

Rick

The Bench show is the only event

that your dog has to be 6 month old.. My Jazz female was entered her first waterrace at 5 month old.

under old rules....

gr ch little walnut tammy's honey bee, and her littermate brother, gr ch little walnut tammy's cody boy, hold world's youngest gr show ch. vallen nelson owned them and lonnie mears also helped to gr ch them early! even today, with the new rules, to only show at 6 months or older, one would play hard to beat their record! they were GR CH'S at just at 6 months and a couple days.

also, under the old rules, we showed all breeds and both sexes in the ch class. we only needed three ch wins. later on the sexes were split. then the breeds and sexes were split at larger events. they then added the 5 ch wins to make gr ch. honey bee and cody boy made their's with 5 ch wins.

if you wanted the youngest ch? easy enough. find a show on birthdate (and hope for a fri) and then hit 3 in a row! LOL! be pricy as gas is alot higher. mo. be a good state....they hold the most events that i can see. then for gr ch....same thing...following week. don't think it can't , or won't be done....

My Dad has finished a lot of dogs into Grand Champion and the quickest he did it was 6 month and 20 days old to Champion and was Grand Champion at 8 months old exactly. He did this in 1995 under the new rules. I remember he even went to 2 different shows one day so he could get 2 wins in the same day. The dog was Gr. Ch. Ohio Valley Blue Kate V.
