Check out the news item on the home page that was released yesterday and it spells out what the qualifiers will get.

2007 UKC World Championship Zone Semifinal and Finals Locations Announced- UKC is pleased to announce the following locations for the World Semifinals and Finals. Once again this year, hunters will choose the zone location they wish to participate in. The number of dogs advancing to the Finals will be based on percentages. Awards at RQE's will include a $30 gift certificate (that is mailed to the owner of the qualified dog after the report is processed at UKC) which may be used towards registration, magazine subscriptions, entry for Autumn Oaks, towards an entry for the World Championships etc; etc...(owners choice)

Hunt Winners will recieve the Achievement Certificate as well. Also, the high scoring dog will recieve a plaque instead of the acrylic award like last years winners got. Even though the acrylic awards were more expensive than the plaques, it seemed the majority didn't really care for them so that's why we're going back to the plaque. Note that the Gift Certificate is worth $30 this year that can still be used towards mag subs but may be used for other options as well. Owners choice. It may even be used for an entry at Autumn Oaks!

Personally, I like the certificate

I have heard so many gripes about doing away with the plaques. They are generic and everyone's is alike. 10 years from now, how are you supposed to remember what dog won what? These certificates are framable and has the dog's name and where it won. I feel that it is more personal than the slab of wood that says 'QUALIFIED'. JMHO
