Wisconsin Coon Clubs & State Assn

can anyone tell me what forms you use to gain your field trial permits for holding UKC events ?? I am dealing with 3 of your game wardens and trying to get permits for 2007 for our UKC events and the Zone Qtr finals. We have cast that go back into WI at all of our events and was told by a warden to get permits, but

according to their books and laws there is no permit for field trialing unless you use release game, so each person going on a cast in WI must have a WI hunting lisence to take part in a WI UKC event even if your from out of state ?????

I'm waiting on word from the states DNR lawyer if there is a waiver for this, if not this could be a real mess for all the clubs in the state of WI for all Coonhound events.

Anyone know of what you do for your events ???

please let me know, PM, Email or call if you can help

thanks

Mark

thanks everyone, talked with the DNR lawyer this morning (did not expect him to call so fast) but in truth according to WI law the law reads anyone pursuing game must be a lisence holder. BUT..........for our sake they do not consider a UKC hunt as hunting since there is no means of taking game !!!!!!!! So best make sure no guns are in the trucks when on a Nite Hunt.......Oh forgot that is already a rule

We are set, and I've sent the dates to the DNR in those areas just so they are aware we will be in the areas.

Again, thanks for all your input !!
