.. Well, I'm the first one to answer a cry for help. Not real good at asking for it though...
Our son Brandon almost 16 went to the Oral surgeon yesterday to see if his wisdom teeth need removal. They have found a rather large "cyst" in his jaw in the chin area. On Dec 5th he will be going to the hospital in Boston to have it removed and all 4 wisdom teeth removed. Depending on how much of his jaw is reomoved he may need bone grafting. The chances of it being cancer are slim.... However his dad, Bob is scared to death.
Bob's wife and Brandon and Dylans Mom died in 2000. She had an Abdominal Aortic aneurysm... she was flown to the Hospital in Boston, anesthatised to undergo surgery and never woke. After a few Awful days Bob took her off life support and lost his Best friend, beloved wife and the boys mother,Shelley A WIlliam. Needless to say, despite the fact HE has been under anesth. 2 x since... he is REALLY frightened.
I realised that once I have the MRI on my spine done next week... if I need surgery as well... he will be utterly devestated! SO, hope and prayers and thoughts... that I can be "fixed" without surgery would be great.... I can live with all sorts of pain and disablitilties that surgery wont help anyway so..... Just think of Bob and of Brandon and Dylan and My own son RIchard who will be worried too for me and Brandon!
Thanks everyone. I'm not a religious person per say but We Are Unitarian universalists... and I know our church group will help... But I will leave that up to Bob to disclose to them..... SO I ask you all a group of Friends, some enemies even (LOL)... and people of varied faiths to help.

I'm really thinking I AM going to do fine without surgery. I think I can strengthen my back and get by. I just dont think Bob can handle 2 things at once! I'm always optimistic, and I do belive everything happens for a reason....LIKE the fact that Brandon was a JERK at tend end of the summer... SO we pulled him off the football team. ONE BOP in his face would have SPLIT his lower jaw... WOW!
Bob needs good vibes though... he is like a walking stress nerve! Afraid if he is touched he'll SHatter! Brandon is scared too, I can tell.... ME? I'm FIne, I'm always fine... unless someone gets me mad.... Not that anyone on here would do that! Thanks again, You guys are some nice friends to have, Heather

I will be praying for you and your son. You will both be in the best of hands: The doctor/surgeon's and the God that gave them their talent/ability to help people. That's the way that I always look at doctors and surgeons. They are gifted.... from God, to help the sick get well.

Everyone. Umm.... even D@#m It Boy? I think??? You are One strange Dude!
I'm glad Bob works full time, I think it will take his mind off of all this. He SEEMED a Bit calmer this evening. We can't stop making Really stupid chin jokes... like.. Keep your chin up, take in on the chin... laughter is supposed to be the best medicine.. RIght? We are Trully awful! Sense of humor HAS kept me going a few times. My friend in B and T rescue described me as the Energizer Bunny... with fatigue syndrome... LOL I do seem to keep going and going. Am hoping Bob can take a ddep breath and realise it's just another bump on the road....

Brandon turns 16 Oct 2, which is nine years from my car accident too... Bob finally had his stress crash lost night and this am! LOL... this better be it!I THINK he will relax again and realise it'll all be OK in the end. My MRI is this week so we'll know what I need to do to get my old spine back in coonhunting shape! WooHoooo! Gotta get ready to follow my little pup around once Russ has her good and ready! I think Brandon is Real relieved he DID NOT get to play football this year and he is working out and getting ready to try to get back on the team Next year.
I THINK things are Looking up! I think Bob is gonna be his normal happy go lucky goofy self again! WooHoo! thanks again and keep those happy thoughts coming his way! I tend to be optimistic thru thck and thin. Maybe that is FROM the brain injury???LOL.... Must have knocked the pessimism right out of me!
