Garmin Compass

About every third time I go hunting, I have to re-calibrate my compass. It will be pointing the wrong direction.
It may possibly be after each time I charge it, I haven't given it that much thought.
Not a big deal, but something that never happened until recently. Is there a fix? Is this a sign of something about to go with the unit?
