Absolutely could be a feed problem. Years ago I was feeding a certain brand. One dog in kennel had constant skin issues. Friend was adamant it was the feed. well I thought it sounded stupid because none of the other dogs had problems but I took his advise. Skin problem cleared up and never had problems again with that dog.
Had another guy I knew his wife would get terrible ECZEMA out breaks. She was on prescriptions and ointments. Between the two of them they noticed it was worse after she ate certain foods. She began avoiding them and she got off meds entirely.
My question . To any vet or human doctor. Okay you give me prescriptions, antibiotics, and ointments. Great that is treating the problem BUT IT IS NOT FINDING OR TREATING THE "CAUSE" of the problem.
Figure that out and you got it fixed.
