soliciting coonhound calendar photos

Coonhound Companions [ www.coonhoundcompanions.com ] needs photos of hounds for it's 2019 coonhound calendar. Full rules and directions for how to offer photos submissions here:

http://www.coonhoundcompanions.com/...call_letter.pdf

Deadline for photo submissions is September 1. Calendars will be published in November, in time for Christmas. I will post here when they are ready. Photos must be high resolution because they will be blown up to wall calendar size. That probably means that cell phone pix of your dogs treeing at night won't make the cut. Pix of big game hounds treeing in a scenic spot in daylight have a better chance than most night pix. Pix of your hounds around your yard with kids in daylight also have a chance.

Coonhound Companions is a nonprofit group I helped found that tries to assist hounds in shelters. It is not a rescue group and does not house homeless hounds. It does answer questions about the breed(s), helps fund veterinary care for sick and injured (hit by a car, heartworm, ear infections, etc.) homeless hounds with prospects , and offers free promotional posters to shelters showing hounds as family dogs. We are not opposed to hunting! My hounds hunt. But, realistically, most shelter hounds are not going to end up as hunting dogs.
The calendars are not particularly profitable, but any funds received will go toward helping sick and injured hounds recover. The program is called Long Ears Alive and described on the Coonhound Companions website and facebook page. .
