lighted collars in comp

What are advantages and disadvantages of using a lighted collar on your dog in competition hunts. Are the allowed in $kc

lighted collars

It is good to have the ability to turn on the LED if the hound is getting near a highway. The LED is bright and a driver will see it. The white LED should also deter coyotes.

The bad, if your dog is off the tree it can be seen coming back in as you approach the tree..
