Merry Christmas!
What can you say about 2020? Strange for sure and came with a lot of uncertainties and frustrations for most everyone.
One of our concerns was the timing of the first qualifying year for the Tournament of Champions, after we cancelled hundreds of events. As it turns out, this program was a God-send and helped make the year as successful as it possibly could, thanks to all those who found a way to get out to the club events, where they could, and get those five cast wins. Even without Covid, the number of dogs that qualified far exceeded our expectations. Thanks and congratulations to all of you who got it done!
That said, a lot of good changes have been made at UKC and plenty more in the works and coming. I can say, with utmost sincerity, I've not been more optimistic and excited for a new year and what it might bring. Our Hunting Ops team will be adding an additional employee around the middle of January. Sarah Misiak brings her experience of working with a hundreds of 4-H clubs and 4-H events in the region and she'll likely be at some of our UKC events this coming year. Her enthusiasm and people-person personality shines and we are looking forward to adding her to the team.
On behalf of the Hunting Ops Department, myself, Trevor, Amanda, and Kristen; we appreciate each one of you and wish you and your families a Merry Christmas!
